I bought this fountain to encourage my cat with kidney disease to drink more water. Unfortunately, it's so noisy that she is terrified of it! I have tried it in 3 different locations, and even put a soft mat under to try to make it less noisy, but nothing helps. My 2 other cats showed no interest in it either, so it was a total waste of money! It's a shame, as it is a nice, compact size and a cute design, but no good for us whatsoever.
